Monetization Sales Specialist
Monetization Role Summary: You will have extensive experience working in D2C Sales/Marketing. Your primary objective will be to drive the direct purchase of Pearson digital learning materials by engaging directly with students, university staff, and other customers.
You will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with Higher Education stakeholders across the Nordic region, developing strategies to maximize monetization opportunities, and ensuring students have access to affordable, high-quality educational resources. Longer-term growth will include the CEE and DACH regions.
Role Description:
Monetization Strategy & Execution:
Develop and implement a DTC monetization strategy aimed at increasing the direct purchase of our digital learning materials to boost regional revenue.
Analyze sales data and student engagement metrics to refine and optimize monetization efforts.
Collaborate with internal teams to design promote strategy and packages tailored to students, university-wide offers, or other customer groups.
Develop a structured plan of DTC activities with the support of the Regional Sales Manager, Digital Solutions, and Regional Director.
Monthly reporting on activity and progress on monetization results based on sales data.
Travel Requirements: This role offers a unique opportunity to travel extensively across the Nordic countries. There will be opportunities to link with the country manager in the field. You will visit many, if not all, universities in the region. A willingness to travel frequently with many overnight stays is essential. In return, you will have the chance to explore and experience some of the most exciting and beautiful places the Nordic region has to offer. All travel-related costs will be fully supported by the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Engagement & Relationship Management:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with student unions, academic societies, and other student organizations to assess their needs and support a positive experience with our digital learning materials.
Host presentations, workshops, and events (both virtual and in-person) to educate students on the benefits and features of our products.
Support Sales Promotion Activities:
Leverage social media, email marketing, and campus events to drive awareness and sales of our digital learning materials.
Ensure all promotional activities comply with Pearson policies and maintain a positive brand image.
Work with the marketing teams to share how materials land with our student audiences.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to student direct sales and engagement activities.
Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve monetization strategies.
Track student feedback and work with product development teams to address any issues or opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related business field.
Fluent in one or more Nordic languages and English; additional languages are a plus.
Experience:
Experience in direct-to-consumer sales, or account management, preferably with products or services for the higher educational sector. SaaS experience a plus.
Proven track record of successfully managing relationships and driving sales within a target audience.
Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to connect with students and student leaders.
Creative and strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement effective monetization strategies.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and CRM/SalesForce software.
Ability to work independently from home and remotely meeting customers.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
